Officer Benjamin Fink holds Tiger, Calvin Coolidge’s tabbie cat, at the White House on March 25, 1924. Calvin and Grace Coolidge literally had a zoo at the White House. Among their other pets were other cats and a raccoon.
The Presidential Pet Museum was founded in 1999 to preserve information, artifacts and items related to the presidential pets, from George Washington to the present. We need your help. Won't you consider making a small donation — even $5 — to keep us going strong?
This website is not connected to the White House or the federal government. The museum is funded by donations.
